Legal Secretary/Assistant Candidate will perform a variety of complex legal secretarial and administrative tasks while exercising sound judgment and the ability to multi-task and perform under deadlines. Managing both state and federal court filings proficiently. Create, edit, proof and finalize documents quickly and accurately. Generate TOA's/TOC's. Calendar/docket key dates for a variety of deadlines. Edit and submit monthly case status reports. Revise, update and coordinate submission of monthly client billing statements. Prepare, submit and monitor a variety of expenses. Assist in preparing for meetings, hearings and presentations. Coordinate case intake and conflicts procedures. Support lawyers with organization of case and office materials. Provide back up support to Legal Assistants in other locations. Qualifications: 5+ years' increasingly responsible legal secretarial experience in a law office/firm. Strong legal and administrative skills. Proficient technical skills using Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Proactive and the ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel. Self-starter who can work independently and as a part of a team. Highly organized. Detail oriented. Excellent technical skills and ability to support others remotely. Familiar with document management systems (NetDocs preferred). Experience with insurance coverage a plus.
