Legal Secretary The candidate will maintain calendars to track deadlines, coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions and conference calls, Prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review, Processing business and vendor expenses, Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information, Review and organize document productions, Organize documents by saving to various document management systems, Professional client interaction, Additional administrative tasks as needed. Must have 3+ years Legal Secretary experience (paralegal experience a plus), Extensive know of litigation procedures and processes including E-filing in state and federal courts, Familiarity with typical pleadings filed in litigation and experience with drafting same, Experience in Nursing Home, Employment, Healthcare and Insurance Defense litigation helpful, Familiarity with procedures, processes and rules related to State and Federal courts as well as the appellate process and rules, Ability to work in a team-based setting supporting a group of attorneys and paralegals, Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks, Excellent organizational skills with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment, Excellent typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Outlook, Excel), Ability to coordinate meetings, travel, expense reimbursements, Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
