Tax Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for: Reviewing case records including real estate and corporate transactional documents, tax correspondence, tax returns, accounting records, and other financial documents. Effectively manage various projects simultaneously, pursue matters to completion with minimal supervision or direction, and take initiative to improve processes. Calendaring/docketing management for all active matters, including all tax related deadlines. Preparing detailed chronologies and summaries for case files for the supervising attorney. Preparing IRS forms 2848, POAs, and Freedom of Information Act requests. Initial drafting of petitioners, motions, consulting agreements, discovery responses, and stipulations. Researching local, state, and tax court rules, statutes and orders. Preparing all facets of tax court cases for trial. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving skills. Office accounting methods and techniques, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other programs. BA or BS degree preferred. Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with 10 years of subject-matter work experience required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
