Real Estate Leasing Staff Attorney The candidate will focus on all aspects of real estate, with a strong emphasis on commercial and retail leasing. Will draft and negotiate leases, real estate purchase and sale agreements, real estate aspects to stock and asset corporate purchase and sale agreements, and credit agreements. Review and comment on title commitments and surveys. Perform real estate due diligence for owned and leased properties for corporate transactions. Communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, and other counsel. The candidate must have top academic credentials and a stellar law firm employment history. Should have JD degree; Bachelor degree. Experience must include drafting, negotiating, and finalizing commercial leases and subleases. Experience with acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties, and real estate aspects to corporate transactions and financings is a plus. Must have extensive leasing experience from a New York law firm. Additional experience in acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties, real estate aspects to corporate transactions and financings, and experience with title and survey review will be considered favorably. Experience in a medium to large law firm is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, WORD, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Must have 3.0 or above GPA. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of NY.
