Legal Secretary The candidate will join civil litigation firm. Will provide administrative support to multiple attorneys. Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and partners. Extensive Transcription. Prepare and file various legal documents, such as appeals, motions or petitions in state and federal court. Open new files, including conflict checks and engagement letters. Enter attorney time in time and billing system. Maintaining attorney calendars. Case list management and monthly reports utilizing Excel. Create PowerPoint presentations. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. The candidate should have 2 years of experience as a legal secretary. Must be detail-oriented and type at least 70 wpm with minimal errors. Must have accurate typing speed of 70+ wpm. Must be proficient in transcription. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint and Excel is required. Must be proficient in Adobe. Knowledge of legal terminology and court system regulation is required. Must have outstanding time-management and typing skills.
