Corporate / Civil Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be accountable for full-service support to firm partner and associates including case summaries and updates, professional and personal schedule coordination, office procedure development and application, and billing support. Manage versatile caseload including general business management, civil litigation and pre-litigation, corporate, insurance defense, real estate disputes, personal injury (plaintiff and defendant), employment and construction defect. Draft court filings, subpoenas/general discovery, notices, declarations, correspondence, status reports and demands. Track status of cases, deadlines and further handling. Research law and provide attorneys with findings. Heavy contact with courts, other legal professionals, clients, insurance adjusters, experts, vendors, etc. Manage office calendars. Coordinate hearings and appointments. Proactively resolve conflicts. Prepare document requests and responses compliant with applicable laws. Calculation of statutory deadlines for hearings, trial and government claims. Research procedures and prepare filings with respective courts, clerk offices, government agencies and private corporations. Health Insurance is available after the 90-day closure period.
