Closing / Escrow Attorney The candidate will advise clients in real estate transactions involving the purchase, sale or refinance of a home or commercial real estate property. Will report to the State Managing Attorney. Essential duties and responsibilities includes, disburse checks and wires in accordance with settlement statements. Initiate checks and wires, monitors banks approval of checks and wires. Answer the phone and processes client requests. Maintain records of various client accounts. Ensure compliance with banks wire cut-off times. Willingly performs other duties as assigned or requested. Send FedEx packages with financial documentation. Maintain knowledge of state-specific disbursement procedures. Must have a Juris Doctorate, be licensed and hold a Bar card in good standing within the state in which they practice. Have experience in the buying and selling of real estate, deed transfers, title issues, boundary dispute, easement or zoning issues, and other legal documents regarding the determination of land ownership. Must hold or be able to obtain a notary public certification prior to being employed. Should have a valid drivers license within the state of residence.
