Associate Attorney The candidate will represent clients in bring suit against consumer creditors and debt collection agencies for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Represent clients in Federal district court. Prepare complaints on behalf of clients. Conduct all phases of discovery practice including preparing document production requests and interrogatories. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Should be admitted to practice Law in the State of New York. Admitted to practice in Federal District Court for Southern or Eastern districts of New York. Experience with the FDCPA is preferred. Must have previous experience in federal litigation practice. Strong negotiation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are must.
