Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Draft requests and answers to discovery including Interrogatories, Request for Production, Request for Admissions, and Disclosures. Schedule deposition, mediation, and client meetings. Correspond with adjusters to provide required documentation. Directly assist attorneys in all litigation matters. Maintain organization of a high-volume docket. Assist Attorneys with E-filing. Request medical records, bills, and affidavits. Heavy client communication: contacting clients via telephone and receiving client calls. Drafting correspondence. Drafting and filing of pleadings. Summarizing medical, billing, and discovery. Preparing, filing, and distributing court documents to proper parties. Qualifications: Should preferably have a high school or equivalent degree with 3 years of Paralegal and MS Office experience required, with personal injury/insurance defense and high volume docket is a plus. Should have a high school diploma and a Paralegal Certificate/Degree or equivalent. Must have excellent communication skills; ability to handle multiple clients and multi-task; detail-oriented skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Should have knowledge of court procedure and processes; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience in a busy, fast-paced environment; have the ability to handle difficult clients and situations calmly and professionally; to be highly motivated and have a demonstrated ability to perform under strict deadlines with the goal of aggressively moving litigation docket forward; the ability to organize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and set priorities. Should exhibit stability on a resume. High-stress tolerance is a must.
