Contract Paralegal - Hybrid Responsibilities: Providing paralegal support under the guidance of a lead paralegal on a team. Effectively communicating with attorneys, colleagues, witnesses, and clients. Working with in-house and opposing counsel to coordinate the scheduling of depositions and mediations. Drafting pleadings, initial disclosures, and discovery. Filing documents with courts using e-filing systems. Maintaining case files using an internal document management system. Issuing subpoenas for records, depositions, and trials. Working with counsel to prepare for depositions and mediations. Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant experience preferred. Proven experience as a litigation paralegal. Worldox and Coyote experience is a plus. Proficiency in English. Familiarity with all aspects of the Discovery process. Knowledge of legal terminology and court systems, both state and federal. Proficiency in Word and Excel, with knowledge of other MS Office products. Outstanding time-management skills. Ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, document management software, billing software, pdf software). Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people.
