Compliance Attorney, Residential Real Estate The candidate will complete and thorough review of each Closing File to ensure the File is Balanced in the Software's accounting system. Review Invoices (payoffs, liens, judgments, taxes), Title Opinions, Closing Statements, Deposits, Wire Instructions, Recordables, Title Updates, and other title clearing items for accuracy. Review all legal documents prior to recordation to ensure all necessary aspects have been completed properly. Review the Closing Statement to confirm all figures are accurate and match with Software's accounting system. Sign Checks and Release Wires. Must have a JD from an accredited Law School with North Carolina Bar license. Should preferably have 1+ years of real estate law experience. Must have a proven ability to analyze, prioritize and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline. The ability to analyze legal issues and to provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters is required. Should have superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have an understanding of purchase money transactions and all aspects of the closing process. In addition, one must also possess a strong ability to develop and deepen relationships with clients and customers in the local market. Should preferably be highly intelligent, hard-working, creative, result-driven, and confident in their abilities.
