Litigation Associate Attorney The candidate s responsibilities will be: Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and third parties; Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and responses thereto; Client communication; Ability to work with peers and the principal in a collaborative team environment; Attend routine court hearings; Argue in support of and against motions in state and federal court; Take and defend depositions; Learn new areas of the law; Complete CLE requirements and present what has been learned to the team; Develop strategy and offer insight into situations; and General business and professional development. Participate in bar organizations, committees that interest them, attend CLE events that will bring benefits to the firm, propose conferences to which they would like to attend, and related matters. Should have experience taking and defending depositions; drafting briefs in support of and opposition to motions; and, appearing for court hearings including, arguing positions on motions. Trial experience would be preferred. Should have court experience and exceptional research and writing skills. Law Review experience is preferred.
