Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and secretarial duties. Drafting legal correspondence. Assisting in editing documents, filing and e-filing pleadings in various state and federal jurisdictions, filing office paperwork (including hardcopy and on the computer). Indexing and updating case information in our database. Managing the firm calendar, answering phones, maintaining and ordering office supplies, and communicating with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Must have 3 years of prior administrative work experience in a law office environment supporting attorneys. Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to manage time efficiently, self-motivated, and tech-savvy, and must demonstrate the ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information, computer skills, including proficiency in using Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, eCopy. Must have a strong understanding of the legal process with knowledge of legal terminology; attention to detail; self-motivated skills; ability to work within strict deadlines; typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy; excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
