Legal Secretary Duties: Calendaring. Entering time into the billing system. Reviewing invoices. Electronic court filings. Typing general correspondence. Scanning, filing and copying. Scheduling meetings, depositions and making travel arrangements. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary, defense litigation firm preferred. Must have prior experience with litigation processes. Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking in a busy, deadline driven environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to quickly learn new technologies. Strong proofreading and editing skills. Ability to successfully prioritize multiple projects and meet internal and external deadlines. Willingness and ability to perform additional tasks as required. Ability to work as a team and willing to take direction from more skilled staff will be required, and self-motivated person with eye for detail is preferred.
