Litigation Attorney (1st Party Property Damage) The candidate should have experience litigating property damage insurance claims as Plaintiff or Defense counsel. Must be able to manage a high-volume case load, demonstrate knowledge and experience in litigation process and procedure all while producing high-quality work product, providing superior service and obtaining excellent results. Must possess strong, persuasive oral advocacy and excellent writing skills. Must have experience taking and defending depositions, handling motion practice and drafting complicated motions and legal memoranda in a clear and concise manner. Jury trial experience preferred. Candidate is expected to have excellent computer skills as we are a paperless firm. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Manage high-volume case load of property insurance claims pre-litigation and in litigation; Produce high-quality work product including, but not limited to, substantive motions and pleadings and responses thereto, including discovery; Provide superior client service and obtain excellent results for Firm clients; Negotiate Settlements; Participate in client consultations; Attend hearings, depositions, EUOs, mediations, etc. as required. Member of the Florida Bar in good standing required. 1-2 years civil litigation experience, preferably in property insurance litigation or another type of insurance litigation (candidates with more experience will be considered for higher-level attorney positions) required. Strong computer skills required. Strong, persuasive oral advocacy and excellent writing skills required. Experience taking and defending depositions, handling motion practice and drafting complex motions and legal memoranda in a clear and concise manner required. Experience with jury trials preferred. Experience in federal court preferred. Knowledge and experience in civil litigation with a focus on first party property claims preferred. Skilled in evaluating and analyzing potential cases required. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision required. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively required. Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred. Language: Spanish or Creole preferred.
