Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide support to multiple attorneys within the organization. Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation. Responsible for drafting pleadings, complaints, subpoenas, interrogatories, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and legal briefs. Attend trials, depositions and administrative hearings as needed by the attorneys. Collects and analyzes information; initiating telecommunications; organizing client conferences, and attorney meetings; scheduling couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other special functions. Coordinates the preparation of charts, graphs, and other courtroom visuals and prepares expense reports. Maintains attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel. Records and monitors court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. Provides historical reference by utilizing Needles and retrieval systems. Maintains current client communication. Travel may be required to support the attorney during a trial or to assist with cases in satellite offices. Other duties as directed by attorneys. Should have 7-10 years of litigation personal injury experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior trial preparation experience with a personal injury firm is required. Paralegal Certificate/ Degree a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
