Transactional Associate Attorney The candidate duties include: Taking and defending depositions; Assisting with the discovery process; Drafting demand letters and/or pleadings; Researching and drafting briefs. Successfully handling court hearings including to summary ejectment hearings, Default Judgment hearings and/or preliminary dispositive motion hearings such as a Motion to Dismiss. Admission to WDNC, the COA and/or the NC Business Court is required. Arbitration Hearings or Trial (bench or jury) is needed. J.D. from ABA approved law school is needed. Must be licensed by the North Carolina Bar. Should have 2 years of relevant experience. Should have experience managing a litigation matter from start to resolution. Must have experience handling matters before any governmental/administrative board/agency such as the EEOC, Industrial Commission or any state-licensing board.
