Immigration Paralegal The candidate will be assisting and supporting the attorney in the preparation and filing of immigration applications, including immigrant visa petitions, applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, PERMs, Preference Petitions, and Adjustment of Status Applications. Liaising with relevant government agencies including USCIS, ICE, CBP, US Department of State, and US Department of Labor. Analyzing, reviewing, and organizing documents and data from materials produced; and, preparing/coordinating document production and responses to requests. Preparing job descriptions. Assisting attorney with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in the Immigration Court. Assisting and supporting attorneys in obtaining civil and criminal court records for both immigration matters. Analyzing and reviewing case details and determining future actions. Preparing responses to audit requests. Demonstrate basic strategic thinking and initiative with case assignments. Maintaining calendars, providing attorney billing/invoice processing support, completing reports and entering time records and creating new files, and updating client matter reports. Address client case status inquiries, including steps in process remaining, processing times, and consular appointment issues. Should have a Bachelor's Degree, any field but Social Sciences is preferred. Paralegal Certificate a plus. Must have the ability to manage client relationships for high-volume clients and complex projects under short deadlines. Must have strong attention to detail, and proficiency with various technology platforms, including Office 365, Document Management Systems, and PDF Software. Must have to communicate effectively in oral and written English, strong organizational and project management skills, initiative, team orientation, and professionalism. Must have the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment, and exceptional writing skills.
