Paralegal The candidate should be a paralegal to join team working with probates, estates (wills & trusts), bankruptcy, business, and occasional litigation. Will provide direct support to attorneys in preparing pleadings, contracts, wills, trusts, deeds, etc. Will also work on orders, discovery, and basic legal correspondence. Assist with attorney calendars, organizing files, preparing for hearings, mediation, and trials. Prepare pleadings, legal correspondence, motions, wills, trusts, deeds, contracts, powers of attorney, affidavits, memorandum, orders, and other legal documents as directed by attorneys. Meet (phone, in person, and virtually) with clients, attorneys, and third parties as needed. File court documents and organize service of documents. Maintain client files, keep open and constant communication with clients and opposing parties, track, and document case/file status on a weekly basis, and provide support to attorneys as directed and needed. Minimum of two (2) years of law office, legal assistant, paralegal experience required. Exceptional organizational skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage deadlines and time sensitive matters. Knowledge of court rules and procedures required. Proficient with Word, Excel, Google Cloud, and Gmail required. Knowledge and proficiency in legal software applications such as Clio and WealthCounsel required. Familiarity with office equipment, including computing devices, phones, printers, scanners, etc required. High school or equivalent required. Excellent verbal and written communication is a must. The successful candidate will be required to present well to clients and third parties in a professional manner and setting, especially under stress. Ability to multitask, keep self and others organized, and navigate busy and complex environments is essential. Estates/probates and legal transaction section experience is a major plus. However, litigation experience is also helpful.
