Legal Secretary The candidate will assist partners, senior attorneys, associates, and legal support staff in all aspects of legal document preparation and general office procedure. Will be responsible for electronic input of calendar reporting. Maintain task lists of document and court deadlines. Schedule appointments. Draft legal documents and correspondence for respective attorneys. Prepare and assemble materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings, court appearances, and hearings. Maintain e-files and physical files according to firm and department procedures, including scanning and posting of all correspondence, emails, telephone calls, faxes, etc. to ensure proper file compliance. Review attorney cases to assess the need for replenishment of funds on those cases. Research inquiries and requests for information. General office duties as assigned for the professional operation of a law firm. Should preferably have 2+ years of experience. Notary Public is highly preferred. Must be proficient in all aspects of MS Office, Excel, Westlaw, attorney billing and document management software, or equivalent. Should be able to prepare draft documentation using Word or through templates and be able to revise and finalize as directed.
