Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal / Docket Clerk The candidate will manage incoming international correspondence and docketing related deadlines. Review foreign docket; regular follow up with clients and attorneys and close out completed actions in the docketing system. Report and correspond with clients regarding critical foreign deadlines. Correspond with foreign associate agents regarding all aspects of national phase filings. Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements based on foreign search reports. Manage a global transfer of IP assets. Client correspondence regarding all phases of foreign prosecution including following up on deadlines and reporting updates. Manage all formalities associated with foreign filings including requesting executed documents from clients and inventors, ordering certified documents from the USPTO, requesting legalization of documents, and forwarding documents to the foreign associate agents. Complete and attend to execution of Powers of Attorney and other formal document requirements by foreign jurisdictions. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate. Experience with foreign patent prosecution, foreign patent databases, and foreign patent office websites. Strong writing skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize workload. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel. Exposure to docketing software (Pattsy is a plus). Able to accurately docket dates in a patent prosecution docketing system (experience with Pattsy software is a plus). Able to support multiple patent attorneys, as well as internal and external clients. Able to prioritize and manage a full workload with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Work both independently and in collaboration with other paralegals and attorneys. Articulate clearly and effectively in verbal and written communications with a strong focus on accuracy and proper grammar usage. Comprehend and follow through with instructions, as well as asking well thought out questions when clarity is needed.
