Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for: General attorney support; Preparing/drafting correspondence and pleadings Preparing/drafting correspondence and discovery; Maintaining attorneys calendar; Manage trial deadlines, prepare pre-trial binders/preparations; Scheduling, coordinating and confirming hearings, depositions mediation, EUO s, prep with attorneys , meetings, etc; E-Filing with State/Federal courts; Familiarize with Civil Rules of Procedure in Florida and general; understanding of how the case will flow in Litigation; Obtaining knowledge of how a pre-suit matter works in Florida for Personal Injury, along with throughout the course of Litigation; Issuing and following up on subpoenas (when applicable); Ensure documents are saved and filed into the appropriate document management system. Paralegal license required. Should have 4+ years minimum of paralegal experience. Ability to speak a foreign language preferred. Must have knowledge of state or federal court rules and e-filing procedures, or ability to review same for further reference. Should have excellent typing skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PDF applications (Adobe, Foxit, etc.) and document/case management (preferably Client Profiles/Aderant).
