Legal Secretary Duties: Assist attorneys and paralegals in the organization of the workflow necessary for the smooth running of the firm. Preparing legal documents and correspondence. Saving documents and emails to iManage (document management system) in accordance with firm policy. Scheduling depositions, meetings, and other calendar commitments in CompuLaw. Making travel arrangements and processing expense reports. Entering billable and non-billable time for approved timekeepers. Processing client disbursements. Organizing and maintaining case files. Answering incoming telephone calls, screening calls, and redirecting callers as necessary. Supporting overall administrative needs by assisting team members where needed. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience required. Litigation experience a must (product liability experience preferred). Demonstrated employment stability. A strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure and against tight deadlines. Must be willing to take initiative to think ahead of attorneys and anticipate their needs. Must also possess excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task. Confidence and communication skills will help develop relationships of trust with members of team. Ability to follow complex written and oral directions. Good computer skills including: using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products, strong typing skills, and proven ability to learn new/updated software programs. Highly organized, process focused with excellent time management skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent skills in projecting a positive and service-oriented attitude ( whatever it takes ). Knowledge of various office equipment/business machines. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Strong work ethic. Resilient. Possess the ability to work under pressure while exhibiting patience and common sense. Self-motivated and confident team player who is able to effectively work within a team to achieve individual and team goals and results. Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting requests.
