Litigation Paralegal Duties: Serve as legal team liaison to client representatives, third parties, and outside counsel to effectively manage flow and accuracy of information in employment litigation related matters. Provide support to and communicate with outside counsel regarding administrative charges, litigation matters and the drafting of discovery requests. Assist with assembling affidavits and supporting evidence with respect to evidentiary motions. Organize, maintain and supervise document collection for various matters. Create, disseminate and manage litigation holds. Prepare, develop and maintain employment related reports through manipulation of human resources related data. Conduct legal research on various labor and employment issues. Research, analyze and summarize legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treatises, constitutions, legal codes and law-related information relevant to the employment litigation practice. Routinely review and follow-up on client deadlines and calendar appointments. Consistently and professionally communicate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and firm personnel. Consistently complete assigned tasks when expected. Able to juggle multiple assignments and/or deadlines while maintaining a professional demeanor. Review and follow-up on client deadlines, emails, and calendar appointments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or other relevant field required. Paralegal Certificates also accepted. Must have 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a litigation environment. Management defense preferred. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, CompuLaw, and Westlaw. Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects for several attorneys. Experience preparing for and assisting in trials and/or arbitrations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptionally well organized and detail-oriented. Adaptable to changing priorities; flexible. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel, clients, other counsel and vendors. Ability to troubleshoot issues and create solutions.
