Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for: document management and organization, including saving to the network, filing, indexing and drafting correspondence; calendaring; scheduling; processing business and vendor expenses; creating check requests; professional client interaction; and additional administrative tasks as needed. Must have 3+ years of legal secretary experience. Should have prior experience with litigation procedures and processes. Familiarity with typical pleadings filed in litigation and experience with drafting same is needed. Experience in nursing home, employment, healthcare and insurance defense litigation helpful. Familiarity with procedures, processes and rules related to State and Federal courts as well as the appellate process and rules is essential. Should have excellent typing skills with proficiency in MS Office 2007 (Word, Outlook, Excel). Ability to coordinate meetings, travel, expense reimbursements and enter billable time is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
