Associate Attorney The candidate will assist in all aspects of civil litigation, including conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, pretrial hearings, and trial. Develop and draft employment/commercial/healthcare-related documents. Communicate effectively and appropriately with clients, client representatives, and opposing counsels. Advise and counsel clients on complex compliance matters relating to labor and employment law and healthcare-related matters. Work collaboratively with other firm attorneys and support staff to provide excellent client service. Perform other related duties as assigned. The candidate must have membership in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Must have 3 years of related law firm experience. Must have experience in trial preparation, depositions, and motion hearings. Must have excellent legal research and writing skills. Must have ability to provide concise and accurate advice on legal issues. Must have strong organizational and time management skills. Must be proficient computer skills including Westlaw and Microsoft Office-related products. Must be able to work within a team environment and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with clients and other team members.
