Legal Secretary The candidate must have 5+ years of legal experience to work part-time in a solo attorney office. Should have experience performing clerical work to include drafting and typing letters and memos, proofing documents, drafting pleadings, answering telephones and handling client non-legal opinion questions. Associate's degree and/or Bachelor's degree in the Arts is required. Should be able to prepare files for court. Must be able to type legal documents, materials or other information such as motions, memorandum, letters, reports, correspondence, interrogatories and depositions. Must be familiar with MS Office, WordPerfect, electronic filing (AlaFile, AlaCourt and Pacer) and Outlook. Excellent legal typing skills and good grammar are required. Must be able to handle transcription. Shoudl have dependable transportation and good working ethics.
