Senior Closer/Paralegal (Residential Real Estate) The candidate should be an experienced residential and commercial senior Closer or senior Paralegal. Will provide overall support for our firm's needs. The ideal candidate will have exceptional client service skills, outstanding organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a fast paced environment. Duties include all stages of the pre-closing and post-closing process for residential real estate, including, but are not limited to, communicating with closing parties throughout to yield a smooth and accurate closing, title review and clearance, ordering payoffs, obtaining closing letters, submitting title requirements to lender, preparing HUDs and CDs for non-conventional and conventional financing, balancing and disbursing closed file, and issuing final title policies. You will be the office lead and go-to for the team. You will work closely with the managing partner. Should have 5+ years combined experience as a pre-closer, closer, and post-closing professional. Strong experience with closing for investors (non-conventional loans), SoftPro and a strong title background is a must, including familiarity with First American Title. Pre-Closing Responsibilities: Assist with preparation of preliminary HUD/CD. Also clears all title issues by ordering requisite payoffs, obtaining HOA closing letters, survey review, and working with lenders. Closer Responsibilities: Compiles all documents needed for closing while working with lenders, agents, buyers, and sellers. Post-Closing Responsibilities: Handles disbursements and works closely with attorneys to verify all document compliance/accuracy. Handles all post-closing procedures, including proper and timely e-recording, final title policy preparation, transmitting to the title company, filing annual 1099-S forms, maintaining files for the firm, etc. Office Management Responsibilities: Answers phones, greets clients, manages scheduling, assembles and coordinates closing packages, and maintains firm files. Previous experience with Probate and/or Estate Planning (Fiduciary Law) is also a plus.
