Estate Administration Paralegal / Fiduciary Accountant The candidate must have a strong financial background and be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Handle communication with clients and assist with overall client relationship. Locate and develop relevant case information and financials; analyze information. Assess the urgency of situations and determine appropriate actions; monitor pending items; provide follow-up; keep filings current and all relevant parties informed. Prepare inventories and accountings for estates and trust. Assist in preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and estate and gift tax returns. Type and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Monitor deadlines and coordinate calendars. Document management and retention. Support in responding to legal-related inquiries. Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness. Should have significant experience in estates and trusts or work/educational background in accounting or finance. Should have familiarity with legal procedures and protocols, financial information, and the court system. Should have satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office. Should have Computer literacy. Working knowledge of legal or accounting software, including QuickBooks, is a plus.
