Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will assist the real estate attorneys in our Charlotte office in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including documentation, due diligence, closing and post-closing activities for real estate acquisitions and dispositions, finance, leasing, development and construction projects. Take leadership role in all aspects of transaction management. Order and/or review title commitments, exception documents and surveys, interfacing directly with the title company and surveyor to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Prepare and administer contract critical dates and closing checklists. Prepare initial draft documents, amendments to agreements or leases. estoppel certificates and SNDAs, for attorney review. Prepare correspondence, escrow instructions letters, title and survey objection letters, open items lists, and other memoranda. Prepare and file UCC financing statements, order UCC lien and other searches. Prepare lease, title document and loan abstracts, and prepare and review closing statements. Coordinate and assist with all other aspects of closings and attend to all post-closing requirements. Complete other duties and projects as assigned. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate are required. Four or more years of previous experience in commercial real estate transactions/closings is preferred, including experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financing's, leasing, construction and development are required. Strong research and investigative skills are required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products are required. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
