Construction and Design Litigation Attorney The candidate will interview and meet with client representatives. Take and defend fact and expert depositions. Construction contract drafting and negotiation. Must have 3+ years of experience. Should preferably have experience in representing developers, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors. Trial and/or arbitration experience is always a plus. Should possess a current license to practice law in the State of Colorado. Experience in drafting publications, articles, or legal presentations preferred. Must have expert engagement and preparation, expert disclosures, and reporting experience. Experience with all facets of pre-trial discovery and preparation is needed. Must have experience with large exposure cases, multi-party litigation, complex construction, and design matters; large document production and database matters; management and delegation of work to paralegals, and all facets of pre-trial motions. Must have 1st chair mediation experience. Should preferably have 1st chair trial/arbitration experience. Must have schedule and payment claim experience. Should have direct experience/ interaction with insurance claims representatives, including reporting, case assessment, evaluation, and strategy. Responsibility for handling own files/matters preferred; Marketing and business development interest needed. A strong work ethic and proven case management skills are required. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills, and exceptional research and writing skills. Should have competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
