Legal Secretary The candidate will provide administrative support to one or more lawyers. Effectively communicate with clients, vendors, colleagues and partners. Manage calendaring for attorneys and matter related deadlines. Produce and file various legal documents such as appeals, motions or petitions. Preserve an updated case record system. Answer phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate. Maintain and update inventories of contact details. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Should have proven experience as legal secretary with previous experience supporting construction defect cases preferred. Experience with Case Management Orders. Knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system. Proficient with MS Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of Document Management Systems. Experience with litigation management software systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding time-management and typing skills. Ability to multitask and being comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people. Legal Secretary certification or diploma.
