Financial Analyst Paralegal - Tax Certiorari Duties: Analysis of cash flow projections and prepare tax projections for major commercial, residential and hotel. Research and analysis with regard to property tax benefit programs; resolve billing matters. Preparation and distribution of tax commission applications to clients. Evaluating financial records of income-producing properties. Filing of tax commission applications with regulatory agencies. Respond to client inquiries. Extensive client contact with regard to property information. Filing audited financial statements with regulatory agencies. Preparation of bills with regard to real estate tax assessment proceedings. Research property tax rules and regulations for commercial and residential properties. Updating and maintaining tax certiorari client files in an orderly fashion and in compliance with firm procedures. Preparation for tax commission hearings. Assist with the preparation of tax audit report forms. Monitor and maintain tax certiorari database as to status of tax commission applications. Generate tax commission applications from database. Schedule and maintain tax commission hearings calendar. E-file refund applications. Resolve City Collector accounting issues. Extensive contact with accountants. Maintain tax certiorari workroom materials. Requirements: Four-year undergraduate degree in business, with relevant summer internship experience preferred, especially in a professional service environment, real estate, financial services or related area. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing and speaking skills; be organized and detail oriented; be able to juggle several tasks simultaneously; and work effectively under pressure. Team player with a positive attitude, the ability to maintain confidential information, exercise good judgment, make decisions, and enforce firm policies and procedures. Dedication and commitment and the ability to work extra hours as needed.
