Senior Trial Paralegal The candidate will support the delivery of quality legal services to clients and perform tasks that require the regular exercise of advanced discernment in the method and manner of performing services. Will use significant substantive knowledge and specialization in the area of expertise, mentoring skills, delegation skills, advanced organizational and issue identification skills, strong written and oral communication skills and excellent computer skills. Will assist attorneys with all phases of a trial; provide case management support for complex litigation cases and arbitration proceedings; draft various pleadings, such as evidentiary declarations in support of motions; assist with document reviews, database management, and document productions; prepare pleadings for electronic filing and may electronically file pleadings; will assist with preparation for hearings and depositions, including assembling binders and witness kits, and compiling deposition exhibits; will assist with cite-checking/fact-checking briefs; will travel with the trial team to assist onsite at arbitrations and trials. Should have Bachelor's Degree. A paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program is preferable.10+ years of paralegal experience is required. Significant substantive working knowledge of the procedures, terminology and documents relating to complex litigation matters; high degree of specialization in areas of expertise is essential. Deep experience with the rules and procedures of California state and federal courts is essential. Should have strong organization, verbal and written communication skills. Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and any practice related software, such as document review platforms is an advantage.
