Paralegal - Creditors' Rights The candidate's responsibilities include assisting attorneys in all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy and collections, with familiarity with foreclosures and other related Creditors' Rights matters; drafting, e-filing and serving legal documents, working knowledge of state and federal court rules, systems and statutory deadlines; detailed case flow management and docketing of all aspects of same; conferring with Clerks, Court Administrators, Sheriff's Departments and parties involved; monitoring and management of electronic filing systems, service and schedules; maintaining electronic and physical files; and following up to ensure all required actions are completed. All paralegal functions are performed under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal supervisor. A Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Technology is preferred. Should have 2+ years of experience in handling all aspects of commercial and consumer bankruptcy. Should be multi-task oriented, well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
