Part-Time Chemical/Biotech Patent Attorney The candidate should have excellent academic credentials and 3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for biotechnology and/or chemistry-related matters. Must have communication with inventors and drafting patent applications, excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Experience with patent and literature searching a plus. Also, experience with the freedom to operate opinions is highly desired. Experience drafting or assisting on freedom-to-operate opinions is also strongly preferred. Should have a Ph.D. or Masters degree with experience in biotechnology or chemistry-related field. Must have a demonstrated track record of drafting and prosecuting patent applications for innovative biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical corporations. Must have scientific expertise and persuasive writing skills; deep knowledge of best practices in patent prosecution; and effective oral presentation and explanation of work product. Must be admitted to practice before the USPTO.
