Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for tasks from Pre-Suit, Post Judgment collections, and support with non-collection community association related litigation. Should have experience with Georgia Civil Practice Act, title/tax property research, an understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, basic familiarity with Georgia garnishments laws including 2016 changes, and knowledge of other post judgment collection methods. Must have experience with community associations/HOAs preferred but not required. Must be flexible, meet all necessary deadlines, be extremely reliable, and be able to work in a small firm environment. Will handle all aspects of personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial. Will include client communication, working with insurers, and demand writing. Litigation duties will include, but are not limited to: drafting pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, motions, ER 904, e-filing, and calendaring. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have ability to multitask and prioritize. Must have attention to detail. Must be professional, friendly demeanor. Must have positive and upbeat attitude, self-starter and excellent customer service skills. Must have 2 years of legal experience; and (2) Personal Injury case management experience. Should have experience with Needles case management software.
