Tax Attorney The candidate's responsibilities will include: performing complex tax research and analysis, developing and implementing sophisticated tax planning strategies, drafting opinion letters, participating in tax controversy matters, and assisting with the preparation of client tax returns. Should have demonstrated experience in the tax compliance area, potentially including preparing state and federal tax returns, as well as estate planning experience. Should have a strong professional demeanour and be able to tactfully and compassionately interact with clients. Advanced Excel and strong writing skills needed; CPA designation or undergraduate degree in accounting a plus. Finally, must be licensed (or willing and able to become licensed) and in good standing to practice law in Michigan.
