Trademark Paralegal The candidate will perform docketing work for U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution. Review correspondence for purposes of updating electronic trademark database, CPi. This includes identifying information that is to be included in CPi, as well as any applicable deadlines. Retrieve trademark information from various websites of foreign trademark offices. Enter, update and maintain records in CPi for all trademark matters. This includes domestic, and international prosecution work, all conflicts, and contentious proceedings related to the firm s trademark work. Extensive review of correspondence from foreign associates for purposes of identifying any deadlines, or pertinent information that may need to be entered into the trademark database. Track pending 3rd party applications for potential enforcement matters. Oversee and manage the integration of large client trademark portfolios managed by other firms into the firm's database. Generate reports detailing various aspects of client trademark portfolios and review these for accuracy. Generate reports detailing upcoming deadlines for client matters. Manage non-trademark IP matters through CPi. These includes domain names and confiscation by foreign Customs. The candidate should have Bachelor degree. Paralegal certificate is a plus. Must have extensive knowledge base of trademark law, prior law firm experience, docketing knowledge and be detail-oriented. 3-5 years of experience in docketing for trademark prosecution required. Must know CPi. Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
