Legal Secretary The candidate will answer telephone calls and takes accurate and complete messages, gives information to callers, refers to others, or holds for team members. Prepare accurate, error-free, and properly formatted legal papers and correspondence. Compile, type, revise, combine, edit, print, and store documents. Schedule appointments, including meetings, conferences, court dates, and depositions for team members. Review, prioritize and route incoming mail. Maintain current and orderly files according to firm guidelines. Should have 1-3 years of experience working in a legal setting or law firm. Be knowledgeable about State and Federal Court rules filing procedures. Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.). Be able to prepare accurate and error-free documents. Excellent Telephone Etiquette is required. Must have communication and consultation proficiency (Strong People Skills). Have cultural awareness. Relationship management is essential. Must have the ability to prepare accurate and error-free documents in a timely manner. Ethical Practice is needed. Must have familiarity with Michigan No-Fault Law. Have the ability to manage time and multiple priorities in a changing environment.
